Painting an Amphi

When painting my Amphi, is it okay to paint the whole car one color
(that is wheel wells, bottom of hull) or do these need to be painted
black? What's normal? What's acceptable? Is every Amphi paint job really
a two-tone job?
thanks,

It's your Amphicar! Go with what you like. There is an Amphicar out
there that is red below the molding & white above. There is also a
highway orange Amphicar out there. Not a good color unless your a
basketball or work for Minute Maid. If I ever get another its going
to be silver. Ray '67 Mercedes Red Clear Coat w/ gloss black wheels
wells & bottom.

I believe most Amphis had a coating similar to a rust proofing on the bottom
and under the fenders , except where the nose bottom pan goes down steering
.
