water leaks

when I test cars for the 1st time I take out the back seat area,all door
panels,rear panels,open the rear lid to motor and go out in water. sit boat
in calm area and climb to back and visually look over whole area.Even take a
powerful light to look in dark cracks etc.
Hole tapeing looks like a good practice so will do that to.

I took a garden hose and put several inches of water into the car and looked for water coming out. Worked great, found a few leaks in seams that were no where near where the water came in. I think John Bevins gave me the idea.
