I may be stupid, but I have searched the archives and found no mention
of this. I bought two new double lip oil seals from Gordons and have
been attempting to replace them this morning. The passenger side one
went in fine, but it appears the driver side seal is much too big to
fit. I have an early model transmission (the one with the big drain
plug in the cover plate), but I have not seen anyone mention buying a
different seal for that side. Does it just fit very tight?
