Gord,
As you might remember a heavy set lady stepped on my rear seat and cracked the fiberglas pan under the rear seat pad at Mt. Dora last month. I went to my fiberglas place last week and asked for materials to repair the crack. The counter guy asked me if it is a polyester resin or epoxy. Can you tell me what the type of resin you used to make the pan so I get the proper kind of resin? Thanks

You can use a over the counter Poly resin and cloth screen or fibre mat, Sand the surface with very coarse paper and clean off all grease. You can build up with as many layers as you want for extra stength, but I like it thin to flex when I install it,. I now add siver paper to the bottom to refelect the heat, Also I drill 2 holes in the low spots so water(from your big slashin) will drain off. You let people sit on your Conv. top area when giving rides, I would not do that for many reasons but, If you do you should make up a plywood base across seat area for feet. One fellow made up a snap in plywood seat, padded that sits atop the conv. area.
Many cars have the metal U bar that hold the backrest, in the pic below that have been damaged, I now Stock these.
