After a few notes and talking with our good friend Dave the Wave, I
was able to correct our car's failure to go into first and third
gears by adjusting linkage and some welding of the shifter to the U
shaped bracket.
Our car no longer grinds when going into gears and has a shorter
shift pattern, like new.
A big Amphicar Thanks to those who helped us find and fix our
problem, we are now back in the water.
