Yep,
I agree, I am running them on two cars and they work great. They look like
there from a Terminator movie. And the price is more that fair. He has a lot of
other goodies too!

I'm preparing to do a brake job on our Amphicar and want to find out
what lining should be used. Gordon's does not carry any of the
original type, which is made with asbestos. From what Shellee told
me and what I've read I should use a type containing metal fibers.
Is there a certain brand or type to specify. Also I've seen
different viewpoints, on which brake fluid should be used, dot 3 or
4. Any advice on which works best and why will be greatly
appreciated.

I also concur with John and Tommy. I have Gord's on my car as well.
So far 2050 miles on them and they still work great. Remember to re-
adjust your brakes regularly. If they seem to be more slippery than
before, give 'em a quick adjustment! It only takes 10 minutes.

Did you know Amphicars have ABS brakes?

Gord Souter carries brake linings. He uses the
material which is utilized in the Hummer H1. Given
that the Hummer is designed to be driven in water
(with a snorkel), it seems like a good idea. He has
reported good results to date. The link to his stuff
is on amphicar.com under the classifieds.
