Looking for used prop

I had hope to buy a used prop at the swap meet but that didn't pan out. So, if
anyone has a used prop for sale, let me know condition and price.

Thanks,

Scott Moses..

I could also use a spare prop if anyone has one.

Have heard from the German Club that if you break a prop in the water, the
only way back to shore is using reverse gear. Using forward gear only
causes the car to go around in circles (with one prop), despite how far the
steering wheels is turned.

Paul,
That's not true- at least not when only one of the
three veins breaks. I broke one last year while in the
water and I was able to exit the water as normal. In
fact I didn't even know it was broken until I was on
land. The only thing I had noticed was that it took a
longer distance to make a turn and I assumed I had
picked up a lot of seaweed but instead it was the
prop. It was fairly easy to steer.

Going in circles occurs when one prop sheers ofe and is lost. I have heard
only one vane missing doesn't matter too much.

Same thing happens when I prop is completely tangled with sea weed.

Only fix for sea weed I have found while in water was to reverse and prop
seems to then rid itself from seaweed.

Would someone please explain, when both props spin in the same
direction anyway, why taking one away would cause the car to travel in
circles?

I have had to actually get into the water and swim to the rear of
the vehicle to untangle my propellers. Would you believe I have
pulled an entire futon couch out of my propeller set? Yes, I was in
the Mullica River with Bill Syx and a few other amphi's when I
experienced instant lock-up and shut-down. Freaked me out really, cuz
I did not know what I had hit. As I got wet and began to extract my
catch, we initially (joke) thought it was a body bag complete with
body. But it was just a large lumpy soggy futon mattress.
