Dual-pump bilge outlet question

I don't know for sure but I would guess you'd get less flow with one outlet than you would with two but the question is: how much does it matter?
I have both my pumps plumbed into one outlet but normally only 1 pump will be used. If you find yourself in a situation where you need 2 pumps running at the same time, the difference between one discharge or two likely won't keep you from sinking. If you really want to know, you could do a test where each pump has a dedicated discharge and one where the discharges are combined, time it and measure your outputs. If you do it, let us know the results.

Agree with Steve. The 2nd bilge pump is more of a backup in case 1st fails. Keep it wired on a separate circuit .
