I had the same problem on my right side door and I spoke to Hugh Gordon
while I had the door apart and could see inside it.
The window alignment post # 11-36-59 can interfer with the door latch
mechanism. With the door panel off, look inside the door with a
flashlight and make a mark on the latch where it is closest to the
window post. Remove the latch and grind about 1/8" off the area you
marked. That should take care of the problem. It did mine. Hope this
