Condolences for Hans Trippel

Please join me and our Amphicar family in
honoring and remembering Hans Trippel.
Sometimes, while passing along on this voyage
called 'life,' we learn of someone who really
touches our hearts, and our lives. Sadly, we have
lost the father of our amphibious family in Hans Trippel.

In his time with us, he has left us all a legacy of joy,
laughter, and a wealth of happiness. We shall miss
him tremendously, and words cannot express how
deeply we mourn his passing. His spirit lives on
with each and every one of us. in our Amphicars,
in the joys we have while driving and swimming,
the smiles we encounter with every outing, and in
the laughter we hear when we share our wondrous
vehicles with everyone we meet.

With your permission, and the club's
acknowledgement, we would like to
honor his name in an annual award as
a yearly reminder of the greatness of
his accomplishments and contributions
to the Amphicar way of life. To best
keep his memory alive we would like
to award, yearly, an individual member
of our International Amphicar Club with.
"The Hans Trippel Amphibian of the Year Award."

Condolences on behalf of myself and our amphibious
family, we offer our heartfelt sympathy to Trippel
family and to all amphibious people everywhere.
May Hans Trippel's soul rest in peace.

PS - All those in favor of re-naming the Annual
Amphipoda Amphibian of Year Award to.
"The Hans Trippel Amphibian of the Year Award,"
please say "aye-aye!"

It's unfortunate that many times we don't fully express our appreciation to
individuals of greatness until they are no longer with us. I think the renaming
of the annual award is a very appropriate gesture of honor to the man who made
it possible for us to all enjoy our Amphicars in all the ways we do. I'll fly
my Amphicar flag at half staff on the next outing. Hum, what if everyone at
Celina flew their flags at half staff for a day? Thank you Amphipoda.
