It was about 90 degrees here on Friday, so Saturday was a perfect day
to escape the drudgery of stripping wallpaper at home and instead
drive over to my local Irvine Lake for a short swim.
In typical Amphicar style, the short stop at the gas station en route
resulted in 5 people approaching me for information.
Then at the lake there was the requisite photo ops, questions, thums
up signs, invitations from women's clubs, old memories from
fishermen, etc. etc.
And for the fifth time in as many months, I have been allowed to pass
through the park gates for free. Shhh! Don't spoil it now!
California dreaming, on such a winter's day!
