amphicar scam on e-bay

I was looking at an e-bay ad for a good looking amphicar for sale in Boise
Id when i noticed that it was my car I checked the vin # listed and sure
enough it is mine I have owned it for more than a year and it is not for sale
I live in Indy and want everyone to know that the e-bay ad is a scam

concern with item#270338661572 Unfortunately,we dont have firsthand knowledge
of the items that sellers list on our site. Because of this,we,re not able to
guarantee the accuracy of the listing." so much for e-bay protection Buyer

Post a question to him on his ad asking something like "How can you be
selling an Amphicar that has the same VIN as the Amphicar that I already
own?" I don't think a seller can delete a question posted to an ad, they can
only answer it or ignore it.

Actually, the seller has the option to share the question with all that view his ad or answer it privately. I say we bid this auction up. How's about a million for that ghost car. You go first!

I also think that every person on this list should sens an email to fraud@ebay .com reporting that auction #270338661572 is a fraud.

Brian, I can understand the sentiment, but fighting fraud with even more
dishonesty is not for me. However, I'm happy to see how alert Amphi people
are to spot these scammers right away!

is exactly the same as that which he sent us the day after the first e-bay
auction ended. It ended on Tuesday, Jan 27th about 11 pm EST and he sent me the
e-mail identical to yours on the 28th !
