I am thinking of having 2 or 3 large (12 or 18") amphicar emblem
decals or signs made to put on the outside of an enclosed trailer.
Does anyone have good three-color artwork of the hood badge that I
could borrow/purchase to provide to a local sign maker? If this is
determined feasible, is anyone else interested in such an item?

Thanks,

I could easilly take a hi-rez digital pic of my hood emblem (you've
already seen a lower rez pic on the amphicar.com site) and then
convert it to what ever flavor you like. Talk with your sign maker
and see exactly what file format he needs. Forward the information
to me and I would be glad to help. It is not very difficult for me.

Cap'n John...

If you end up doing this could you post the file? I'm sure I'm not
the only one who'd like a good copy for business cards, stationary,
web site etc... but is just not talented enough to get it done.

I'd love to see a folder in the files section of Amphicar Clip-Art.

Larry, It is true that most artiste want to work with Mac info but you may
want to call around a bit. Most sign guys will have a wider plotter than the
old Gerber 11&1/2" wide model. Lots of vinyl sign guys will have 60" cutters.
The ones that make a lot of truck signs will have the widest vinyl. There
will be at least two grades of vinyl available, be sure to get the heavy
duty. If you make your image out of strips as they shrink (and they will) you
get this little line of unfaded color that can look a little weird after a
while. Good luck Tommy in Tampa

John,
As most art types apparently do, my sign guy works with a Mac and said he
can work w/ .bmp, .jpg or .tif. He recommended that I provide the file in
all three formats as it seems there are always problems. The standard panel
size is 11-1/2". Larger decals will be made from multiple panels.

Thanks for the offer. I look forward to seeing your photos!
