WIDE WHITEWALL TIRES

does anybody know where i can get 4 maybe 5 wide whitwall tires with about a 2 1/2 or 3 " (preferred 3") wide whitewall? i am planning on going to the Fleetwood Country Cruise-in on saturday june 4 2011. so if any are availible, and you are going to be there, i would have cash on hand . Please let me know... john

Diamondback Classics. You can reach them at Classic White Wall Tires - Vintage Tires - Redline & Redline Radial Tires for Antique and Classic Carsor phone 888-922-1642. They are familiar with amphi tires. The size is P185/80R13. The whitewall size is correct. I now have almost 10 years on mine with no problems. You should put tubes in them, which they also have. They are expensive.

Hi John,

You can order those tires from Diamondback with a white wall as wide as you wish. Just let them know when you place your order.

I ran tubes in my two cars for years but I think most Amphicar owners have gone tubeless, without any problems. The only problems I ever had with tires were actually because of the tubes. I did away with the tubes in my cars a couple of years ago and haven't had any problems.
