Members,
I have finished the rebuild of my first amphicar transmission. It
went back together fairly smoothly after parts were cleaned and
needed bearings were procured. The only difficulty I had centered
around the fact that it was almost 5 weeks between taking it apart
and putting it back together. I expect it to work just fine as now
everything shifts and spins as it should. Of course, you never know
until you try it. The next step is engine assembly. I hope to swim
this car before Labor Day this year, realisticly it may not happen
until 2005.
