Roll over rack

for sale" Nice thing about fully upside down is your not fighting
gravity as much.
Craig I dont think I would do it this way at this point. Right now you
have a usable Amphi. If you gut it out you have a HUGE little car
project. As you clean out old grease and dirt, stuff that would of
probably lasted for years now needs to be replaced. It does not matter
what sources you use for parts nothing is free and it all starts to sky
rocket. It is also amazing how trying to get a certain widget off that
usually takes a moment can last four hours or more. With new Wife,
Family, and house You can probably have smoother sailing by replacing
battery trays from top side. Living with bubbly quarters and enjoying
the heck out of all of it.
Now if you decide to flip it. Do it all at once. Strip it down to every
last bolt,wire and switch. It will all make sense when your putting back
together.

Thanks Dave... I keep going back and forth on just what to do. I had a 74 MG
Midgit years
ago that I stripped to the point my 145 lbs ass could bench press it off the
jack stands.
Took years to get it back on the road and it was never really finished. I have
the bad angel
on one side, aka my tear it apart to see how it works self. And a good angel on
the other
side, the voice of reason from Dave, telling me the vertues of enjoying it for
awile and doing
one thing at a time. Am I the only one out there with these demens...

I have those demons too! When I got The Amphicar Extraordinaire, I
only planned on "fixing the 1/4s and make her float" Two and a half
years later the 1/4 panels are fixed and she does float! However I
also repaired, replaced or repainted almost EVERYTHING!

Dave has some good advice there. With a new family and all those
trappings, how much time would you have to devote to the project? Is
there $$ for the unexpected? What about the expected stuff too? I had
a lot more time available than I would guess you do now. Your car
looks beautiful so fix what you can't live with, get the family and
go swimmin'!
