It comes in threes I guess....

Well after being released to work after my last 2 medical episodes
this year, I decided that I needed to start anew and repair the
sprinkler system damage of last winter's blizzards and get some yard
work done.

Saturday, I was going across the lawn when one of my wheels fell
into a sinkhole created by the broken sprinkler line. This threw me
backwards hard onto a rock. The rock hit me in the middle of my
spine exactly where I have several screws and a titanium plate. I
layed there for over 30 minutes before I could muster the strength
to get up into my wheelchair. I did use all the cursewords I knew
and even came up with several new variations.

I have been surviving with the help of my new friend "Mr. Percocet"
until I can get into the specialist on Tuesday. This makes 3
incidents this year (and it's only June!!), so that means I am
done... right? I have been working on cars only a short amount of
time until I have to lay down. I have only had my Amphi out once
this year (back in March) and she sits in the driveway under a
cover, very lonely and neglected.

I am now not certain if Celina is in the plans for me. I can't drive
more than 10 minutes now w/o severe pain so a 24hr drive doesn't
sound good now. Just getting in my truck is not much fun as it is.
Depending on what the Doctor says, I may not be doing any road trips
any time soon. At the very least I may have some pictures to prove I
have a screw loose!

Somebody go for a swim for me would ya?

John ... So sorry to hear all the news. Dave and I will be on te Rock River Saturday... I'll force Dave to have a couple extra beers for you. My next major swim-in is likely Roger's at the end of September. But I'll be hanging with Dave and Capone between times. Get some rest. Eric
