Hello group, after a while of sitting back and reading I would like
to finally say HI to you all. Clearly you folks have a great family
of owners and friends here. And I am happy to be here with you.

I own a Red (64?) Chassis # 103688 (I question the exact year as
the final digit was never stamped on the plate).

She is in decent condition, to the point where we can have a days
worth of fun in/out of water without too many problems. I did have a
transmission seal leak which led to, well, a bad transmission. Billy
Syx of ECA is fixing that for me right now, with a rebuilt tranny
from Hugh Gordon.

There is no final digit. The "year" was usually determined by date of
sale (or sail?) rather than date of mfg. and then stamped on the
plate. I was told all were actually produced by 1966 and that late
ones were sitting around and sold later.

By the number, your car is somewhat an earlier one. My '64 (101027)
is an early one as well.

Hello chaps.

Thought it would be polite to introduce myself. My name is Chris, and
I am a student at Coventry University, UK, where I study Transport
Design (meaning cars, buses etc).

I have joined this group as for my current project I am designing an
amphibious vehicle, and may at some point ask for some advice. Hope
this isn't too much of an imposistion on you.....

I have some background on amphibians, I spent some time working fro
Gibbs Technologies, who make the Aquada high speed amphibian.

Being a student, my access to the internet comes and goes, so I will
be here on a pretty irregular basis. Anyway, you seem like a friendly
and knowledgable bunch.

Cheers for now, Chris.
