I agree, all I want to read about here is anything about Amphicars. Plain and simple.

Thats easy, no need to vote, the guy with the nicest car buys, cause he must have the most money, or had the most money. </font>

I am only about 3 weeks behind on trying to catch up on e-mails. We wereat Carlisle and Hershey. Then the following weekend to the prestigiousMirror Lake Classic here in Lakeland, Florida which featured Amphicars for the second year ( to the crowd's delight, of course ), in company with Duesenbergs, a Batmobile, etc. There were 400-500 cars in all and super weather. It was a great show, but they all take time. This in addition to the voluminous e-mails from Woodie groups to which I subscribe and Tin Can Tourists (Antique campers and related) along with family and friends, etc. This all helps to keep my mailbox overflowing.

I want to add my voice to the many who have found the religious zealots out of place on this website. There is enough spam and unsolicited advertisements and come-ons that can't be filtered out effectively without accidentally eliminatinglegitimate mail. We are Ampicar oriented and embrace this site for Amphicar related subjects with slight deviations understandably which are usually appropriate.

Regardless of one's religious persuasion, this is not the place to proselytize. Here's to AMPHIS FOREVER.Victor Nelson with the 1967 "Split Personality" near Daytona Beach

John-
Re your comments about Tin Can Tourists ( aka TCT) - I have a 1948
Ford Wagon ( the picture was in the Members Spotlight a couple of years ago ) and a vintage Airstream. You mentioned Teardrops. In 1951, my relatives driving a 1938 Dodge dragged a small teardrop across country from California to Michigan, using the teardrop for my 80 year old grandfather to sleep in. Off line I will send you directly a picture of the prettiest and most unique Teardrop I have ever seen. A personal friend of mine here in Florida built it and used it for several years. Another friend owns it now. I wish I could buy it to tow behind my Woodie. Vic

<SNIP>I...Tin Can Tourists

Victor - Amen to the whole statement! This caught my eye. I am
familiar with the Tin Can Tourists. I didn't put a soup can on my
truck though!

I have always loved the old campers myself. Some great stuff out
there! I am looking for a beat up teardrop myself. I have a SUPER nice
original Heilite tent trailer. (Not the single wheel version). Inside
the front panel is loaded with vintage decals (Not stickers, but
decals) from across the country. It only needs a new cover for the
trailer. The canvas tent is perfect condition and looks like new.
