Amphicar featured on Pawn Stars this week

Hello

We are new amphicar owners.. We just acquired a 1964 Red car which is in very good condition. It came from the original family and is all original..paint, interior etc. We have taken several family members and friends for swims in Lake Mead (Nevada). We were not aware of how much attention the car brings EVERYWHERE we take her. As you all know.. That's the norm for such a rare and unique vehicle. We named the car-- Rose Regatta-Red.

This weeks episode of Pawn Stars features an Amphicar. The episode will air on Thursday night 11/6/14 on the Hisory channel (269 direc TV).

We have met a few other amphi owners.. (Gordon's Imports is on speed dial), and look forward to meeting many more Amphi folks. If you are coming to Las Vegas.. Bring your car, well invade lake mead!!!

Jack and Jane, Great to see new owners here and your enthusiasm. You are going to have so much fun with your new car. Its always great taking new passengers out as they have no idea the excitement these cars stir up. Looked like a nice Amphi, Rick was misinformed and should have grabbed it for $45k since he wanted it for his collection anyway. No mention of Scottsdale 1/2006 selling for $125k either. Is that the one you bought Jack/ Jane?

Yes, the car featured on Pawn Stars is the one we purchased. It came from a one owner family who took VERY good care of her. Her patina is original, with a few nicks, chips, and small dings. Which we think adds character.. We named her Rose Regatta-Red, she has her own Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Rose Regatta-Red.
