THE 4TH ANNUAL BOSTON SWIM IN IS SCHEDULED FOR THURS AUG 26TH TO SUN AUG 29TH.
HOSTED BY LORI ESTERS, GERRY O'BARA & RON TRUDEAU.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING ALL PAST AMPHICAR OWNERS & NEW AMPHICAR OWNERS. THE SCHEDULE OF EVENTS IS NOT CURRENTLY FINALIZED, BUT REST ASSURE IT WILL BE ANOTHER GREAT YEAR!!

THERE IS PLENTY OF AREA FOR CAMPERS & RVS ON SITE. RESERVATIONS CAN BE MADE AT THE HOLIDAY INN, 700 MYLES STANDISH BLVD, TAUNTON, MA TEL 508-823-0430. A DISCOUNTED RATE HAS BEEN SET AT $99.95 PER NIGHT PLUS 11.7% TAX EACH NIGHT. IF RESERVATIONS ARE NEEDED THEY DO NEED TO BE RESERVED BY JULY 20TH, 2010. PLEASE MENTION THE WORD AMPHICARS FOR THE THE BLOCK RATE.

Looking forward to Boston Swimin* with the** AMPHIZINE

We worked on this* 1980s vintage amphi creation*with* the boys from N.H.**** It
looks like it will be sea worthy for next weekend,***** It has been siting and
in need of*much love

Patchin-stuffin- and welding all weekend -**** It is truly a piece of Amphicar
history*
Took it for a test drive - going down the road its hard to hear the driver from
the rear seat - pretty funny*,**then we put it in the water*now*more work to do
.....

Just got back from Tauton swim in at noon today(tus)

Best way to describe this Swim in is........I N A >>>>
no Really everyone was great had a blast..
RON got Joanne an I super soaked yesterday at Long Pond... but we did get him wet too.He had had problems with his soaker and we thought we could get him un armed.. he tricked us.
Also got Lori on Sunday, sun was in there eyes, we ( a new member I hope, and me )attacked....(we also pre stoled there soakers.) and went in for the kill.
13 Amphicars of all colours.. Blue the most!! weather was great,
Too much food.ohhhhhh.

Long Pond with a real neat Sand Bar Third gear skipping across the water
*pretty cool*
Some possible new members- Some not so possible
Amphizine didn't Sink - 2 gallons of mar glass worked - bilge pump ran all day
Now i have all winter to build some kind of super high output soaker to blast
Gord next year
Oh yea in forgot - I N E R ( ina)

Gerry, Lori, Ron:

Thank you all for a fantastic weekend!* Whoever was in charge of the weather did
a phenomenal job.* It couldn't have been better.* Your property is a wonderful
place for all of us Amphicar friends to set up our temporary city.* I only wish
I could have gotten a picture of all the tents, RVs, trailers, & Amphicars as we
settled in to our own little spots on Rear Bay St., Taunton, MA.* Beside all of
the great fun, laughs, wonderful food, reacquainting with old friends, & making
new ones many Amphicars had work done on them so they wouldn't break down.* I
think there weren't any major break downs this Swim-In either.


Each Swim-In has it's own special charm.* The Boston Swim-In is so special for
all of the food, wonderful accommodations,*great swimmin' holes, & friendly
people that Gerry & Lori find for us to meet & hang out with. Ron Trudeau will
now have a new name: Breakfast Chief.

So, thanks again for a fantastic Swim-In & a big thank you to all who helped me
park & unpark my RV as well as mount & dismount my Amphicar.* Ina (Back in the
Boro after 'mucho' traffic in NY.)
