Hey Larry! What is device you use to operate brakes on Amphi as you tow bar it? My new tow vehicle does not want to drag a trailer.:D . Later Dave the Wave

If you are interested, Mr. Wave, I'll send you some pictures and AutoCad
files (or graphics of them) of the reinforcing structure and attachment
points I built. If you recall it is quite unobtrusive when not in-tow and
easy to connect/disconnect w/o tools.

I did all of this in 2001. At the time I chose Tow-v-Aire
<http://www.tow-v-aire.com/> over the Brake Buddy
<http://www.brakebuddy.com/> primarily due to cost, but I also did not want
to rely on Amphi's positive ground electrical system. I also know when
Amphi's brakes are applied because they are tied into the RV's braking
circuit rather than relying on a pendulum switch. I did slightly modify the
break-away switch circuit (which DOES use Amphi's electrical circuit) to
avoid cross connection and yet still function using the cigarette lighter
socket.

I have the braking pressure adjusted so Amphi's tires will drag on
dirt/gravel, but still roll when on asphalt.

This all sounds like something real useful that I would like to have put
on the Club's website back in the day...Like maybe a special section on
"Hauling & Towing Tips."

Just a thought...

Thanks Larry. My "anchor" bumper was made for a tow bar. It has custom reinforcements that fit inside Amphi on inner frame work were it bolts to. I do not know if new tow vehicle can actually be used. But it is red, 4 inch cowl hood, and top goes down. Not a done deal but close. Later Dave the Wave

I find just using rope works well. The Camaro bumper is nice and soft. :005:Ain't no Vette but does a nice smokey burnout. Later Dave the Wave

I am working on your article, Dave. Had a bit of an Achilles problem and am
just now recovering from the surgery & resulting drugs. Feels good to have
concentration longer than 2 minutes again, although I still can't keep the
foot down for too long.
