Shock/strut recommendations

I need to replace all 4 of my struts and springs.

What are the options?

I heard Alden eagle made some?

Bought them off Tommy whom got them from Gordon Imports.(they had them made overseas)
They have had some problems with( 62-65 fronts) but not rears.

I have used Snowmobile shocks modified to fit in the past but very labour intensified to make fit.

I'd buy the ones from Gordons for the fronts too. As far as I know there's only been one rather freaky failure of one and any manufactured part will have occasional failures. Especially true for small production runs of parts. I think someone forgot to either glue or peen a threaded shaft in place. A very dangerous type of failure but probably a freak and nothing was damaged. You can also add some more lock to the threads if you worry about it.

Say Dave,

I had an Alden front shock fall apart some years ago. It unscrewed itself it's pieces and I had it replaced under warranty. Even being made in the U.S. they had a failure too. The shaft didn't disconnect though so it was not as dangerous a failure as the one we've been referring to with the new shocks but nonetheless a stupid failure for the manufacturer to make.
