Front shock replacement on the later cars has always
been an issue due to the through-hull/bayonet-style
mounting. Perhaps it would not be a difficult
modification to create an upper U-Shaped shock mount
w/ a 10mm dia stud that could be bolted thru the hull.
Now, with a coss-bolted bushing on each end,
identification of a replacement shock/spring assy
could be easier to find for the front of the '65 &
later model cars.
Just a thoought.
