Illinois River really sucks in Peoria

What a shame. The Illinois river is horrible now. They lowered river levels to increase speed in channel to help move silt. But it is way too low. And with the Asian carp jumping it is extra bad. We met up with The Parson's and drove in river. In first second a carp jumped in our laps. The woman started screaming. Doug has car in second gear churning up mud for a long while till we hit main channel. Then another larger carp lands on us. These creatures smell and are extra slimy. Then a large 35 lb jumps over and nearly misses Marge and Phyllis. Thats it we got out and never went back. What really sucks lots of ramps with Florida like fun bars and a great place to stay.
