Just finished installing complete*car with silicone hose*.*One note is that it requires a*better grade of clamps
they have a extra band so that it wont cut into the hose.**** I used 5/8*hose*close to*28 feet -- *very pricey
I also have a pretty cool fuel line in place - teflon core, stainless braded, black rubber coted-***** ** OK overkill
* But the original fuel line seems like it could rot pretty quick
Just Fired up the car cranked up the street for the first time - no doors-no hood - no winsheild - Had to do it
Gettin* real* close***** Good* Luck***** Dave

Subject: [General Amphicar Discussion-t-20450] Heater hoses?
It was time to go get heater hoses. I went to NAPA and asked for the HD hoses that are able to withstand the oil etc they will be subject to down in the bilge. I was told all they sell is the standard (gates) hose that will break down from oil exposure, or the silicone hose which is real nice, but costs $11 per foot! Maybe I should try Auto Zone? Thanks in advance! Jack
