In addition to the seal in the grove of the deck lid for the engine, my car
also has a seal glued to the body. That is, there is a seal in the grove
that runs around the front and sides of the engine compartment. From the
parts manual and Gordon's list, it appears that the only seal on the body for
the rear deck lid should be at the rear edge of the engine compartment.
I think the additional seals on the front and sides of the engine compartment
may be pushing my deck lid up higher than it should be. But, before I remove
it, I wanted to check with the experts here -- should my car have this
additional seal on the body?
Thanks for all the help. I'm just full of questions (or something ) this
week.
