Chicago river run 2009

Looks like June 6th weekend will be the Chicago River cruise. No details at this time but...This is replacing Sabula. This event will be friggin exciting. We will be getting in river about five miles away from downtown. Can You imagine cruising downtown Chicago, the windy city? I can't wait, cool views, night life, driving in the loop in an Amphi? Haaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Where the hell is My Ridlin??!! WINTER SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!REALLY REALLY SUCKS!!!!!!!!Later Dave the ice covered Wave

Mr. Dave,

A Chicago River tour with an Amphicar flotilla would be awesome.
Thanks for getting behind an adventure like this. I'm originally from
Chicago so have to participate in this one - maybe. It's the date,
June 6, that presents a problem. School is still in session in many
parts and would be difficult to convince families to miss the last
week, graduations, etc. If you would consider third week of June or
later, I would consider bringing my Amphicar. Think about it - please.

We are more than happy to look at other dates. I think the 21st date is Gord Souters Orilla event. Any later many events take place. Any earlier and it maybe snowing. Our local schools are out in May. What about flying out for the weekend? Later Dave the -7 degree Wave

Please keep out Microcar Classic Event in mind, which is currently scheduled for July 10, 11 & 12, 2009. Many of your Amphicar guys (including Dave) have been threatening to come to our event, and this is the year that I was counting on all of you to finally make an appearance! Hi Ken,

You know I'm originally from Chicago too. I lived about 1 1/2 blocks from a canal at 3300 S. Western back them. It's the -7 degrees and weeks of gray skies that got me to move to California about 30 years ago.

I have been wanting to this for years! June 10 is my birthday and by then I should be healed enough for a road trip so there may have to be some sort of partying involved! I know this is a huge request but I think my friends would take one for the team under these circumstances! So you can count me in if all works out here!
