1963 Frankfurt Auto show - raised lip model?!

They are showing raised lips at the 63 show - but when did the public start getting them? way later, i was under the impression. I would have been bummed in 64 if i ordered one thinking it would have a feature i saw at the show, and I got an older model version#$ - I wonder how salespeople/Amphicar handled this "gotcha" ...probably would have to offer a discount - no doubt costing the salesman commission and/or the dealer some margin?

Unfortunately no, the car upholsterer is already behind with my interiors.

Up to now we made about ten sets. But he has so much work, he is not able to make some in the next year. And it is expensive, comparing to US prizes i saw on the web.
