How do you like the new menu system? It is working well on your
machine? Do the colors work? (It is a tribute to the 4 factory and 2
other well known Amphi colors). Have I missed antthing?

Please let me know what you think, good or bad. I spent a lot of time
and late nights (It's 1AM now) coding them so your feedback is needed.
It's YOUR site afterall.

Looks great Cap'n. I think we should quadruple your pay! I know it takes many many hours of work. Good pun on the "sail" menu / link / page. Surely you didn't have to reinvent all the checks in the sniffer script for konqueror, opera and all the other browsers. Now are you going to put code in to also allow it to appear pretty and functional when I browse the site from my phone? <g> Just kidding. Guess you got a lot of stuff from webreference.com. Great job having a site that works across multiple non M$ platforms.

Thanks for all the great work, I really like the
"click on" story or website behind the picture in the
members picture section.

Thanks Al! I could use the raise! I started out with a simple scipt I
had from someplace and added to it. I am an amature @ Java so far, but
getting better! So far it seems to be working across platforms well.
We average 20,000 hits a day! Not bad for an obscure corner of the
world.

The last week has been devoted to this latst project. The Frontpage
extentions and our lame ISP "tech support" ("tech support" = bunch of
idiots in India who barely speak English, reading from a script and
can not cope with any problems not included on thier cheat sheet)
prompted me to abandon Frontpage BS in favor of some more robust
tools. I will be placing text links or JS for the phone/blackberry
folks at some point.

I have designs on a total rebuild of the entire site. But not until
winter sets in. It's not far away, we had a light frost here the other
night.

Looks really good. If its any consolation, I've been doing web sites
professionally for may years (www.vesdia.com) and I harbor a deep
seated opinion that Front Page Extensions are evil. Of course, I feel
the same way about Front Page itself, so there you go.

Good work and thanks! If I can be of any help, let me know.

John,
Wow, great job. I really like it. I just spent the last couple of
hours going through the Menu. It was interesting finding pages I
forgot about or never saw before. Working fine on my computer. I did
find one page link not working for me.It was on the Members Only
page.
The "A Survey of Amphicar VIN Numbers" and also in the same
paragraph "Amphicar-Lovers List Archives".
I didn't know that Hans Trippel and an Amphicar were on a cover of
a book " The World's Worst Cars " it's a must have for only $6.98 in
hardcover. I just ordered mine form Barnes & Noble.
I'm also looking for a good photo so I can be included in
the "Meet the Club" section. What's the best way to get it to you?

John, The new website is a "Hit". I am sure your late nite coding
sessions are appreciated by all of us.
