Short Drives into Storage

We keep our cars only 50' or so from the top of the ramp so maybe we
put 2 land miles at the most on the Amphi. That's 2 land miles and 200
hours in the water.

Just a note to say that situation that you have there is almost
exactly the same as my White Amphi lived in for many years. The White
Amphi, although garage kept, had rusted lower tunnels lips. They got
that way because, without some side motion, after leaving the water,
water sits completely to the top edge of the driveshaft boots. The
only thing that this kills is that lower edge of the steel outer
tunnel. I'm also not too sure that water in there doesn't speed
along the aging of the inside universal, but I'm not sure about that.
The universal shouldn't be in the water but that's a lot of
dampness right near bye. You might make of point of doing a couple of
turns before putting your Amphi away for the day or, at the very
least, be sure you have some super coating on those tunnels,
especially along those inner edges.
