Hi-
We are just three weeks away from San Diego’s 9th Annual Swim-in. Mark your calendars and plan to come for camaraderie, food, beverages, and, of course, swims. Mingle with your old friends; meet new ones.
Lake Miramar is conveniently located off of I-15 in San Diego: Mira Mesa Boulevard exit, east to the T-intersection, right turn onto Scripps Ranch Blvd to second light, left turn onto Scripps Lake Drive, and about one mile up on the left is the Park entrance. Look for the cars that swim once inside the main parking lot by the boat ramp.
Amphipoda has designed a graphic for t-shirts, so a FREE T-shirt to IAOC members who sign up in advance. Give me the number of each size you need in the next week and I will have them made for you.
IMPORTANT: Check in with me on August 21st. Water in Southern California is scarce and the Lakes Program has a tendency to drop reservoir levels without notice. Lake Murray (off of I-8) would probably be our back-up.
Feel free to circulate this email to Amphicar enthusiasts.
We look forward to seeing you, with or without your Amphicar!
-Steve
