I finally started working on my Amphicar this summer. It has been
apart for about ten years, and I hope to have it back together by
next year.
As I start to evaluate what items I need during this process, and I
will probably be asking many questions and requesting help from many
of you as I proceed.
I am in the process of stripping the inside of my car, and getting
it prepared to sandblast so I can determine what areas of the sheet
metal need repalacing. I already know I need lower rear fenders,
rockers, and my door are not looking too good either. I probably
will need to replace the sheet metal on either side in the rear
where the battery tray resides.
As it stand right now I need u-joints, and wonder if anyone has
these. Please let me know if any of you have this part or know
where I can get them.
I also related a sad story to a few of you at Dave's swim In this
May regarding my losing the clutch and pressure plate. I will need
to replace these as well.
Anyway, thanks for listening, and I would appreciate all the help I
can get finding these parts.
See you all in celina.
