Wiring Questions

Need some help in figuring out my Amphi's wiring. My resources are Hugh
Gordon's wiring diagram and Cap'n John's wiring chart. Even still, there
are some wires unaccounted for.

I have a '67 with the fuse block inside, under the dash. All wires are
accounted for except position 5. I have the 2 gray/red wires. I have the
single gray wire which comes from a separate 2-wire bundle. The other
wire in the 2-wire bundle is a black wire. I see no references to it.
Where does it go?

Also, behind the dash is another 2-wire bundle containing a blue w/
black wire and a brown wire. When I dismantled the car, these were
labeled as going the gas gauge. None of my reference materials show this.
Any ideas?

Randy,
On my 67, that other black wire goes right next to the gray one on
fuse position 4. I don't know where it comes from though.

I am restoring an Amphi which was apart when I purchased it. I am rewiring now. The generator was rebuilt and polarized to neg. ground. The information I have read on the net states "You must change the polarity on the coil". My Lucas coil has SW and CB at the posts, I have no idea which is to be battery + and which goes to the dist. Also the wiper motor has 53,31b,53a,and 31 ....wires are black/purple, black/red, brown/white, and brown I have copies of the wiring diagram but can't read the colors. Also if I later don't like where the wipers park and do the internal wiring do any of the external leads change to the wiper motor. Please help for I am anxious for both road and soon water driving.......Scott Can't Wait Whaley
