I can also make a few calls to several local Amphi owners to see if they are
interested in purchasing any.

I don't think they will pack windshields for each destination for free. I would expect to pay for packing and the crate. I think we could all still save some money.

If it turns out that we need twenty or so windshields, the way the economy is, they may be willing to work with us. Maybe a little better price on the windshields and so much for each crate.

What I propose to do is to sit on this for a week or so and wait for
a new total. Possibly, with enough interest in other regions(see the
latest newsletter map), someone could volunteer a second or third
quantity purchase. Gord, I will speak to Lo-Can again however, I
doubt they will drop ship 8+ units to 8+ addresses. It's worth asking
anyway.

I'll take one as well! It's a good idea to have a spare.

I had found a good used one, but when it arrived, it was broken in
half obviously from something heavy being dropped on it, certainly
not due to the packing. The FedEx wanted estimates on repair!

I can tell you that probably wont happen. The
reason Richard is giving you a break is because he can ship your
order in one or two crates and deliver to one location. From my
experiences with them on other orders they will have several
windshields in one crate so figure how you will deliver these to
other people. I doubt there will be 8 boxes. I also had them ship my
crate to the trucking terminal and leave it there for customer pick
up at the loading dock. There was no way I could remove this crate at
my house without a forklift and I'm sure the driver wasn't going to
wait till I unpacked each windshield piece by piece. It was easier to
go with my truck and get it myself. Unless you have it shipped to
your work place with a loading dock but I work at home. Just some
things to think about. Good
luck. John

Thanks Brian. Let me know when you need a down payment and I'll send it
