Wow... a 1947 Amphicar??? One of only 350???
One of these just sold for [ONLY] 4,200 at Barrett-Jackson
Scottsdale???
I wish advertisers and the media had a better grasp of
Amphicar facts. It seems a hopeless battle to correct
amphibious injustice in the world... Darwin, give me the
strength to combat these... these... (insert unspeakable
terms here).

This white Amphicar is one of only 3878 built and 1 of only 350 known
to survive in the world. Designed by Hans Trippel and powered by a
Triumph Herald four-cylinder engine, it used a transfer case to shift
power to the twin propellers, and used the front wheels as rudders.
It runs, drives and swims perfectly with no leaks. Features water
tight doors, bilge pump, navigation lights, swimming step, anchor,
spare tire, jack, spacious luggage compartment. 4 speed synchronized
transmission, forward/reverse water transmission.
