I can't believe we've only had "almost" 2 inches of snow this year.
Year's back we would've had 2 or 3 feet by now. The wind chill is on
the minus side of zero and my woodpile is getting short.
The Rock River has open water but our ramp is solid ice 20 feet out.
As summer was ending I imagined having time to work on Amphi things
that needed attention all summer. The cats have been curled up on
Amphi's cover all winter. I wonder what it looks like under there.
They say Celina is just around the corner.

Here in Colorado, yesterday was the first snow we've had since Jan
1st! A lame 4" (less than .2" of water content). Saturday I was out
swimming and it was 70 degrees and this AM, 15 deg. So far we are
almost 12' (yes, feet) short of normal. They are talking of mandatory
laws stating NO outside watering at all this Summer. Parks are
already closed until furter notice. Our snowpack is 80% of last year
and last years pack was only 75% of normal. It's been 5+ years since
we had a "2 footer" and almost 7 since a nice "3 footer" I fear for
the forests most of all. We had a dozen large (500 acres+) fires last
season.

As low as the resevoirs are going to be, I guess it's a good thing my
boat has wheels! ;)

Looking forward to Celina too as this will be my third one. First one
I got to pilot Bilgy's on the lake and had most of one at home. Last
year I was remanded to the passenger seat in my own Amphi. This year
I will be the Cap'n at my own helm, finally! <in my best pirate's
voice> Arrrrgggg matey!

John,
You've earned all the swimming you can get in. You've had a long
project and by all accounts, done a proper job of it. Your car is in
most excellent condition.
I second the motion about being glad Amphis have wheels, it makes for
faster entries.
