Wheel Lug Nuts

A long while back, we were having a discussion of Amphi wheels and the various
types of lug nuts.

Original Amphi lug nuts are of the "ball" design (with a thread of 14 x 1.5 mm
right-hand pitch), while most domestic lug nuts are the "conical taper" design.
I once bought a set of rims that had oval holes, to allow fitment onto several
sizes of wheel spindles, and these wheels used the "flat" lug nuts. (And I will
never buy that type again; alignment and balancing was always a compromise!)

So what do these look like? See a picture at:

Obviously, you should use lug nuts appropriate for your wheels; if you have
original Amphi wheels, use only the ball lug nuts. And if you have replaced the
originals, you probably should be using the conical taper lug nuts.
