I finished putting the water tranny together late last night. It
seems like it is going in and out of all gears plus reverse. After
the gasket sealer cures a few more hours this morning I'll fill it up
with Amsoil gear oil and give it a test run. What a learning
experience.
See you in Lake Geneva

Most trannies are junked because water gets into the land tranny part
and rusts the thing to death. Normally the water tranny part survives
intact. Since I have an unusual water tranny problem I'd like to
switch out the entire water tranny section from one of these otherwise
dead trannys.

Is there anyone out there who has a tranny sitting around who's land
section is trashed but the water section is ok? I'd be interested in
obtaining such an item.
