Friday in Celina we took our splash ride infront of the fine folks in Celina.
On our way back to the Eagles club we filed up with water. I saw water by
the base off the gas pedal but hoped my wife would not notice. Then my kids
yelled out my feet are wet!
We made it to the Eagles then pulled the plug. We drained all the way back
to the Holiday Inn then for twenty minutes back at the hotel. A whole lot of
water. Today I filled up the Amphi with water to see where it came in. Here
is where to look. Our Amphi has prop shields and there are brackets welded on
a 45 degree angle from the shield up to the pan under the battery box. The
welds let go leaving a square hole about 2 inches by 2 inches. Monday I am
buying a wire welder then on to the repair.
