Greetings all,
I just thought I would share some insight with you on how a member is chosen for the Wheels-n-Waves spotlight segment. First of all, you have to be a paid in full member of the IAOC. Second, when I draw a name, I look at the latest member roster to see if I can make contact via a phone number or an e-mail address. If neither is listed or the information is outdated, I'll draw another name. Once I successfully notify the member, I usually give them ample time to respond to my request. After he or she agrees to the task, I give them basic guidelines a deadline.
So if you want to increase your chance of being spotlighted in the W-n-W newsletter, pay your club dues and be sure you include an e-mail address or phone number where you can be reached.
