I hate to be a pest but you guys helped me a lot. Can someone give me a good procedure for setting the timing. I put a timing light on and when I set the dist. for 9/16 BTC it runs very poorly, it runs better when set 30 to 40 degrees BTC. Also how to set that knurled screw. I hate to take it to a mechanic that is 40 miles away.

I also took the carb apart and bent the spring above the float a little bit and it seems to have stoped the dripping after shut off.
