I have a 64 (early style) Amphicar and there is a luggage board set on ebay right now #280015245583 from a 66 Amphicar. I think there were several different styles of these and that later Amphicars had different heater cores and front trunk arrangements. Any ideas if a trunk luggage board from a 66 will fit a 64 car? The seller doesn't know.

Unrelated to this, but has anyone in the US sold something of value on ebay to someone internationally?
There is someone from United Arab Emirates (ABU DHABI CITY) who is willing tobuy something I'm selling
for$1000Does dealing through Paypal make it safe?I've heard of certified checks bouncing after the item is
shipped. The buyer suggested a direct wire transfer to my account, but I don't feel safe giving out my account and routing numbers.

Don't know about the trunk stuff, but about your other deal; one word: PayPal. Sounds like a scam. Even with PayPal you may have to wait for a persons 'PayPal' check to clear. Usually four days. Until you get a CONFIRMED PayPal payment and the payment is in your account, don't ship anything. Bogus cashiers checks are more common than not. Beware beware beware!

We have shipped a lot of stuff internationally with no issues. No big
deal...just make sure that you get form of payment that you are
comfortable with. International postal money orders work well if you do
not have credit card enabled Paypal. It takes forever to ship
internationally anyway, so making sure the funds have cleared is not
going to add that much time. Not everyone is out there to rip people off.

Naturally, lacking fuller details it is impossible todiscern withreal certainty that you are being targettedby a scammer, but look: any time anyone purporting to hail from some exotic climecontacts you out of the blue via eBay or email making noises about certified checks, needing bank account information,or Western Union transfers youreally should fasten down thatbutton on the pocket where you keepyour wallet, y'know?
