Trans seal

The gear can be difficult. Sometimes a mini crow bar works. These are a
spring steel small for pulling out small nails. Sometimes using two of
these work. When gear is off look for scoring. Seals get hard as rock.
Also if You have first gen gear it will not be beveled making it hard
to put on. grind a bevel in it. Also use no sealer just gaskets. Even if
intermediate gears spin nice take apart and replace needle bearings.
Also make Yourself comfortable. Pull seat out and put blanket down.
Don't pry on case. If you gouge edge oil will leak. There are three
ears you can hit on. Buy a box of rubber gloves. Make chiropractor
appointment. Buy like three seals so when you bend the first up You dont
waste time. When You put detent ball back in You should be able to screw
in by hand. If water gears will not engage loosen cap and do again. Do
not wrench down on it till You know it works. Pay attention to location
of intermediate gears You can easily put them on backwards. Later Dave
the Wave
