trans parts

I work for a bearing company. Can you post pictures of the numbers on the old bearings?

I will check to see what may be a replacement unit today for the original part.

I have good replacement bearings for those 2,16-11 and 16-29 For 16-29 there is no exact replacement and a machined shim has to come with it.
They are very expensive!
pl stock 9() % of all bearings and seals. Amphicar uses.

Yes, Gord is most likely going to be able to help with these.

I really cannot make out numbers on the bearings as they are pretty dinged up.
They almost always have numbers on them though, but some cleaning & magnification may be required for these to be able to make them out.

Not sure about that website page for military vehicles. Did you find it using the numbers on the bearings?

The company I work for owns SNR Bearing in France & supplied many OE bearings to German vehicles over the years.
Any bearings you find that have numbers on them may still be available.

DÜRKOPP GERMANY DWB 2-16 259 C3

259 C3 is engraved by hand. So it is a very small production series.

Looks like you have used that one with snap ring to replace it strandweiss62 . Mark you should just check out this overseas web site its www.filmpros.nl and go to vehiles pull down and click amphicar and you can hit button to translate to english and see his bearing list. it is very full and has amphi #s so it shows 01186160 converts to 25x62x17 durkopp 2-16 and 207-0186120 converts to 35x72x19 dwb 8-283. So back to srandweiss have you used that or these successfully look like you just need to make up more of that shoulder

I may have found one with the snap ring in that series, but had to cross to SKF then NTN so just a maybe6305ZNR.jpg.

6305ZNR.jpg.
Need to check dimensions.
Which ones do I need to match up from post #7?

I HAVE AN EXACT REPLACEMENT FOR ONE NEXT TO PINION. IN PHOTO BELOW YOU CAN SEE OLD AND NEW BESIDE EACH OTHER. The one next to water trany is in photo 3 and I supply a special shim with it. Very rare and hard too get so only have a couple. 16-11 lists at $175. 16-29 lists at $233. may be able to do a little better on that. On my office table right now! click on photos to get full view.

Thanks Mark, I did get a 6305 and just have to make a shim I did find a ball bearing that is size for the other and don't see why you could not go from roller to ball bearing, if 6305 is locked in you should have no end play. Just throwing stuff around

That car is a in between early and late cars with some modifications e.g. a special top frame to realise an automatic top. Bought it from a scrap yard near the Lubeck Amphicar factory.
