Ok Gang...The main gear cluster is ready to go! Thanks to Scott Moses, I
was able to locate the bearing I needed for about 50 bucks. I went down
to Harbor Freight and bought a set of gear pullers for about 20 bucks.
Hooked those up to the gears, went at it with the impact wrench, and the
gear cluster was dissasembled in a jiffy (NO bearing pressing needed!) I
had to cut the race off of the shaft for the 2-16-11 bearing, but that
was no biggy. Tapped on the new bearing, put all the gears back on, and
we are GO! Now to reassemble the tranny. I think this is gonna
work...and if it does, the tranny will be repaired for about $100 in
parts.
