In trying to install the bottom socket into the bracket that holds
the top light on the rear hood deck. I read in the maint. book that
the top cover must be kept separate from the bracket underneath.
Let's see if I get this right: The car is Positive ground and so a
negative wire comes into the engine compartment and attached to the
bottom of the socket where the tip of the top light (pole light)
presses in and the body of the bracket grounds to the hood.
I am not clear on this and do not want to smoke any wires again after
doing so in Celina while trying to get the front red/green light to
come on while the pole light already worked.
I may need to check the switch as well because as I recall, the
lights would not turn off with the switch while the wires were doing
their little ;smoke thing.
Hope this doesn't sound too bad as I am in a hurry to go pick up one
of my school girls and I'm late.
