I have been looking at the Amphicar logos on the front quarters all day, and I cannot figure out how to remove them without risking damage. I am getting the car media blasted and those are the absolute last parts to come off.

Help!!

Peter, Look at the backside of the logos inside the front trunk area. You will see 3 studs with clips on them on each side of the car. Gently grab the clips with pliers and twist in a circular motion. They will come off!

Use the proper tool! Not pliers as it is EASY to snap off the studs. You can use a readilly available door panel clip removal tool that will remove them with ease! (about $7 at most auto parts or tool stores). No need in replacing an expensive part because of the wrong tool.

Thanks for the advice guys. Got them off without breaking anything. Vice Grips prevail again!

Good tip on the door panel clip remover. I had not seen one of those before, I will have to pick one up next time I am at Napa.

Dear lord, those things are evil. So simple on paper! The bear was we finally got them out and then could not get the coil springs off.

There is a special place in hell reserved for the engineers of that car.
