...Of course it does or it wouldn't be about vacuum! 
As usual several great ideas from everybody! I think that tapping
into the plate below the carb may be the best idea because it
involves the least amount of work, should provide adequate vacuum and
the cheapest. All I need to do is find an accumulator and create the
bracketry/linkage for the booster.
