Took my Amphi to the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mi.
for the Onsted, Mi car show. I live 5 miles from the track. The show
got to be to big for the small village of Onsted, so M.I.S sort of
took it over. There were 1180+ cars & trucks. Only 1 Amphi. The
registration was $12. For another $6 you got a hotdog, bag of chips &
a can of pop..&...Oh Yeah! Two laps around the M.I S. track with all
those 300...400... & 500 horsepower engines in those hotrods. I
started in the middle of pit row & by the time I was on the track I
was in 4th gear @ 50 MPH. I tried to climb towards the wall but @ 50
MPH it didn't want to stay up past half way up. Going into the back
straight away I got up to 65 MPH. Got passed by a couple on the
outside & one on the inside. I slowed to 55 MPH for the turn 4 &
stayed in the middle of the track until the back straight away where I
came down to the inside & stood on it again. Back up to 65 MPH.
Seeing all those cars in the rear view morror coming at me was quite a
rush. They didn't get the chance to pass me 'cause it was time to
pit. Next year I'm taking my Dakota R/T with me too!
